PLOT

A dark, performance heavy music video that uses chess mastery to symbolize the strategy, mis-trust, & calculated nature of love in a complex relationship. Both characters are master chess players that have intense personalities: they deeply love and hate each other at the same time. Both are high fashion/clean cut and take pride in their intelligence and confidence, but have trouble being vulnerable & trusting one another. The video cuts between a chess match sequence & various close up shots of both characters in a silhouetted fashion to paint the duality between their two genders, energies, and good & evil aspects of their own characters. Locations include a white screen studio, a ghostly warehouse (or mansion, depending on booking availability) & a remote estate.

As the female protagonist, you’d be included in several scenes - most notably in the white screen sequences where we’d play chess against each other. Acting experience preferred, modeling experience acceptable, & no prior knowledge of chess required.

Payout: $120 (half up front, half at end of shoot)

Fashion: All black, sophisticated (think The Matrix movies attire)

1: Chess Match Sequence

Location: Somerville Studios

A high-stakes chess match, symbolizing the strategy of love in a complex relationship where both players are deeply focused & make calculated moves. Camera focuses on the intensity and confidence of both characters, as they trade moves on the board and try to read each others intentions. Performance shot mid-game of me performing the song as we play. Close up facial shots, drone shot over the board, zoom-ins on moves, etc. - we’ll play several sequences & run through various emotions/tensions. She defeats me at the end of the match.

3: Sillhouetted Performances & profiles

Location: TBD - a green screen/white screen studio

Performance shots and slow motion profile shots in a silhouetted fashion of both characters alone, and then coming together. Specifically: performance shot of us back to back, with me mouthing the words + a shot of us circling each other in a combative fashion + a shot of us playing the chess match in the sillouhted environment with stock footage overlaid + guitar solo performance
