Purpose

With my debut album, I wanted to make a concrete statement of who I am & what I’m about. This proved difficult, as I find myself changing daily. Nonetheless, the core of what I value: family, nation, intelligence, and the search for enlightenment shined through in full color. The PHOENIX is a symbol of alchemy & self-mastery. It’s also a location that’s responsible for expanding my imagination and sense of clarity during a three day excursion: Phoenix, Arizona. On my journey, every step of true progress has been made by overcoming resistance - by walking through some form of fire taylormade for my own fear. Thus, I’ve come to believe that there’s always a jungle between where we’re at and anything worthwhile, and that ultimately we’re alive to evolve, transcend, and become stronger. The album expresses the road towards that understanding and fulfillment, and the dues one pays to cultivate a peaceful warriors spirit.

Bio

Connor Cassidy is an American rapper, producer, and guitarist from Massachusetts of Irish & Lebanese descent. His ambition-driven sound expresses his journey towards Nirvana and the cultivation of a peaceful warriors spirit. Being a martial artist as well & a bit of an eccentric, he views music as another channel for the same energy of refined chaos that’s shadowed his character since birth. Inspired heavily by hard-rock, blues, and Hip-Hop, PHOENIX captures the intensity of his passion, depth of his observation, and richness of his lyrical ability. Longer bio is readable here.

To date, the music videos of the album have collectively racked up over 2 million views & 8,000 shares on social media. He’s also been featured on Vanyaland, The Sun Chronicle, Leedz Edutainment, The Packie, & other reputable media outlets. Before the virus, Connor was picking up momentum as a touring act, but since the quarantine took effect, has been focused on recording, meditating, and selling real estate in the Massachusetts area.
